Falkland Grange Home Visit - 11 July 2025
Written by Marnie, Romilly, Cece, Hattie and Ruby
Today Falkland Ambassadors were invited to the Falkland Grange home to meet residents and to paint rocks to decorate the garden. We sat in the shade and it was a very calming activity to do on a hot day. The residents were very kind and friendly and they enjoyed chatting to us. We were treated to delicious platters of cakes, muffins, strawberries, raspberries and water melon. After this we were given a tour of the home. We LOVED the cinema room, gym and the salon. There was also a special spa bathroom that had a moving tub that could go up and down with bubbles. There were star lights and soft music to add to the spa vibe. The dining area was like a restaurant and there was even a private dining area with a purple theme that families could use for special occasions. There was a games lounge where you could relax. The garden and the library was beautiful. We asked if we could move in but you have to be over 55 years old with a health or medical condition. Mrs Bamfield said we must continue to work hard at school to get good jobs to save for our retirement fund! We loved our time at the home and we can’t wait to build more inter-generational relationships!
Lower Junior Choir Visit Falkland Grange Home
In December, our Lower Junior Choir visited Falkland Grange Care Home to share some Christmas cards and carols with the residents. Georgina from 4A said, "When I was at the Grange, I was having a really lovely conversation with one of the residents. They asked us lots of questions about our singing. They shared that they really loved us visiting because they didn't get many visitors. Also, that they hoped we would come again!"
Our Year 3 and 4 Eco Warriors visited Yew Tree Garden Centre in November to help Mr Banister dig up the beautiful Christmas tree that they generously gift to Falkland each year.
Our Lower Junior Choir visited the Falkland Grange Care Home in November.
Local author, Debi Evans, visited to help celebrate the opening of our new Library in April 2024.
